Extract Process Of Andrographolide

Andrographolide is the main active ingredient of the natural plant Andrographis paniculata extract. It has the effects of removing heat, detoxifying, anti-inflammatory and relieving pain. It has special effects on bacterial and viral upper respiratory tract infections and dysentery. It is known as a natural antibiotic medicine.

The leaves of Andrographis paniculata are soaked in 95% ethanol, the obtained ethanol soaking solution is decolorized with activated carbon, and the concentrated solution after the decolorizing liquid is distilled to recover the ethanol is left standing to obtain a crude crystal product. The crude crystal is heated to dissolve by adding 15 times the amount of 95% ethanol, and the activated carbon is decolorized while hot. Filter, stand for recrystallization to obtain light yellow recrystallized product, and then wash and refine with distilled water, chloroform and methanol to obtain andrographolide product.
